I'm on top in Google search results, using 3 different browsers!

I just Googled "freelance artworker", and I came out on top in Firefox, Chrome and Safari! That's never happened before! I must be doing something right  :)

Now that I've got SEO and blogging working nicely, it's time to put them into action and see if I can help line up my next contract with the help of social media

I've managed to link my email, linkedin contacts and twitter, so that they're all cross-referenced, so I can hopefully get as much exposure as possible, when I let my network know that I'm available

Where it all began...and where is it going?

I got made redundant in March 2010, and threw myself into freelancing. I'd been a full-time employee for nearly 10 years (across 2 jobs)...yet, I'd fancied freelancing since as early as 2003 (I'm a freelance artworker).

I didn't have the self-belief to quit my job and leave the "security" I thought I had, and fear held me back. However, it is the fear that now drives me.

By the time I was made unemployed (for the first and only time in my life), I had a mortgage and a 10 month old baby. I really went for it, as I didn't want to lose my house, or let my family down.

Now, 3 years later – I'm still freelancing, and I still love it! We have another baby on the way, and my wife was able to give up her job back in 2011. However...the fear still drives me! And the love for my family. I want to make them proud. That's my motivation.
